Cut these turkeys out and use them as place tags or invitations to this year's Thanksgiving feast. You can color them or leave them as they are. |

Cut a piece of paper to the height of the pattern. then fold the paper several times then lay the pattern on top of the folded paper and cut out leaving the flat edges uncut to form a paper chain. See the sample below. |

Take a paper bag and fill it with newspaper, then put an empty toilet paper tube in the top of the bag and close the top of the bag around the toilet paper tube. Print the picture above then cut out the face and tape or glue it to the top of toilet paper tube. Glue several feathers to the back of the bag. |
Cut a strip of brown construction paper big enough to fit around your head. Then cut out feathers using a variety of bright fall colors. Decorate the headband like in the picture then glue or tape the feathers to the back of the headband. |
Cut a strip of black construction paper bit enough to fit around your head. Cut the hat out of black paper using the pattern. Then using white paper add the details. Glue or tape the hat to the headband. Read then play out the Thanksgiving story for Mom and Dad using your new pilgrim hat and indian headband. Use the turkey you made as part of your feast. |
You can use these patterns or other clipart as templates for coloring on your windows. Use a pre-mixed tempra paint with a few drops of clear dish washing liquid or mix powdered tempera paints with clear dish-washing liquid until they acquire the creamy consistency of house paint; or find a kit at the craft store that comes with paint specifically designed to be used on windows that will come off later with a dry paper towel and some elbow grease. I did this for Halloween and for Thanksgiving using paint that I got in a kit and it made for a nice change from using the static clings. |
