1/2 pound of green beans or 9-ounce frozen cut or French-styled green beans
2 Tbsp. slivered almonds
1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
1 teas. lemon juice
Directions:
Cut fresh beans into 1-inch pieces (for
French-style, cut lengthwise). Cook, covered, in a small amount of boiling water for 20 to
25 minutes (10 to 12 minutes for French-style) or till crisp tender. Cook frozen beans
according to directions on the package.
Drain.
Cook and stir almonds in margarine or butter
over medium heat until golden brown.
